Eva received her early riding education in The Netherlands, competing in both Dressage and Jumpers before moving to Texas in 2000 where she has been actively training and competing dressage horses since 2001.

Eva has extensive experience training horses up the levels, having trained many horses from green to FEI, including several green broke 3 year olds all the way to Grand Prix.

Eva has coached many students to their Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals and has produced Regional Champions, both in the Amateur, Open and Junior/Young Rider Divisions. She has had students qualify for and compete at the National Dressage Seat Equitation Finals, the National Young Horse Championships and the US National Dressage Finals.

From 2001-2023 she qualified for and competed at every level from Training Level to Grand Prix in Regional and South West Dressage Championships, including earning multiple championships and top 3 placings. She has qualified a horse in the FEI division for the US Dressage Finals every year since its inauguration in 2013 and competed in the US Dressage Finals in 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2021 which resulted in championship placings every single year, including the National Reserve title Intermediate B in 2014.

From 2006 to present Eva has trained and represented horses at the National Young Horse Championships in every division from USEF 4 Year Olds all the way to the Developing Grand Prix division.

Besides National level shows she also competes in CDI's in both the Small Tour and the Big Tour on horses trained herself.

In 2014 Eva passed the USDF L (Learner) Judge program with distinction and is now available to judge schooling shows.

It is such a joy to take lessons with Eva at her farm in Williston! Eva has been very successful over the years, developing all kinds of different horses up the levels, from barely started under saddle all the way up to international Grand Prix. I think that experience of having fully developed horses multiple times gives her confidence in herself and her system to be a special kind of relaxed yet effective in our lessons. Eva strikes a great balance of talking me through things while also giving me space at times to figure things out for myself. I love the dialog that we have while I’m riding. All her horses are always impeccably well cared for and happy in their work. The barn is beautiful yet also very functional and well managed. The footing in the ring is world class. There’s quite simply nothing for me to worry about when I’m there, just pure joy for the opportunity to experience the very best of dressage.

I have been a student of Eva Oldenbroek’s since 2010, and over the course of 14-years, Eva has single handedly molded me into the FEI Dressage Rider I am today. Under Eva’s guidance, I progressed through the training scale in a methodical, thoughtful manner. From training level to successfully competing at the FEI Small Tour, Eva coached me to my USDF Bronze and Silver Medals, as well as two scores towards my USDF Gold Medal. Additionally, Eva’s training helped me secure a Region 9 Championship at the FEI Intermediate-I level, a trip to the 2018 USDF Dressage Finals, and my first two CDI competitions. More importantly, Eva helped develop my Western Pleasure Quarter Horse from zero dressage knowledge to schooling pieces of Third Level and FEI movements. She is a caring, compassionate professional who genuinely desires to see her students achieve their goals, whether big, small, or untraditional. I owe my knowledge entirely to Eva, and I wouldn’t be the equestrian I am today without her.

“I feel so blessed to have been a student and a friend of Eva. I started dressage lessons and showing with her in 2011. Previously for 25 years I’d been doing endurance riding. From my first lesson with Eva I was hooked!  She is an incredible rider and teacher. She has the absolute best feel for a horse and her approach to teaching is calm, encouraging and positive with an incredible sense of humor. Because of Eva I was able to achieve my bronze medal. Just this year I rode 3rd level, test 1 at an accredited show to become a Century Club member. I am 79 and my horse is 21. To show you what kind of a wonderful, caring person she is she surprised me by showing up at that show. She also called the test for me. Sweet memories. She flew from FL to TX to be here for me.  If you have Eva as your trainer you are an extremely fortunate person indeed and you will go far!!!  Her family is awesome as well.
